I have committed to the task of taking and posting a picture a day for the entire year. Project 365 suggests: Take a picture a day and see your life in a whole new way. Sounds nice.
I am so very excited my participation in (click here to read more on) Project 365. Check it out. I am posting this because maybe you also would enjoy doing this but had not thought to. By sharing the concept (not my photos) I hope I will inspire at least one other to do this.
Unless uploading all of your pics to Snapfish and Costco counts for organization and documentation, to date, I have served poorly as our family historian.
This is the best resolution I have ever considered....surely the most rewarding. Click here to see my resolution kick off.
In the midst of divorce, now, more than ever, my children look to me. "They look to me to see how merciful and generous I am in good times. They look to me to see how strong and faithful I am in bad times. They watch, they listen, and they model. Years from now I want my children to remember a childhood lived well, with a mother who was loving, consistent, devoted, funny, disciplined, playful, and totally present and emotionally available."(Kristin Armstrong)

What should we NOT have for dinner tonight?
The following rotation of wannabe mediocre meals have necessitated ritual dialog to determine which "meal" seems most sufferable. These non feasts sometimes include once fresh salad and vegetables. For, it is only after our produce has reached the the brink of expiration that it becomes essential to wash, prepare, and consume these single ingredient items.
Below is a list of the unsavory and worn out selections:
- tacos
- frozen pizza
- Costco rotisserie chicken(chef's personal favorite)
- poached salmon
- shake and bake pork chops
- steamed shrimp
- steak
- pasta

Due Date
I purchased a yard(It is an especially long piece)of salmon from Costco. It is supposedly due* on 8/16 yet already is quite strong smelling.
So, I may choose to:
1.Wait in return line with 2 babies and a Giant Stinky Piece of Fish (after riding in car with GSPoF)
2. Cook and serve GSPoF
3. Forfeit $25 and dispose of GSPoF.
The kicker here is that I dont so much care for Salmon even when fresh. I only eat/serve it because it is suggested as a SuperFood.
Footnote: *I refer to the expiration date on foods as the due date.(While this makes my sister and me laugh, it is irritating to my mother to hear food referred to as overdue, which makes it all the more amusing)
