A Disturbance

This morning as the dogs were going nuts, I noted the haphazardly parked police car facing our home. There was apparently some urgency to park and exit the car.... AT OUR HOUSE!

From the front porch, I observed 2 policemen stealthing to each side of OUR home. I lingered curiously until they retreated rather casually to their squad car. Upon notice of me, they greeted me...with faces expressive of "What's up?"

Me: "Is everything OK?"

Younger officer, calmly with amusement: "Yeah, we're on the wrong street. We meant to be on 126th, one street over. Their alarm has gone off."

Why then, was there no urgency respond to the correct location?
